The Medical Center area of Houston includes Texas Medical Center which is the world’s largest medical center. This area is home to some of the most famous medical learning campuses, research facilities, hospitals and clinics on the planet. Texas Medical Center is home to the famous M.D. Anderson Cancer center along with Baylor College of Medicine, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and much more.  The entire outlying area is lined with clinics, schools of dentistry, nursing schools, and a variety of other life science centers. This is a great place to live if you are considering a career in medicine or are already a practicing professional. Due to its convenient location to Rice university and other parts of Houston, this area is a great place to live for people of other walks of life as well.

The Houston Medical Center area is surrounded by luxurious apartments with great amenities, great dining, and outstanding local shopping. The University are around Rice University is just a stone’s throw away and has several upscale boutiques available. There are several major roads passing through the medical center area, some of which intersect major highways. Just a short drive to the East gives access to the South Freeway and a little to the North is Southwest Freeway.

Also to the North of the Medical Center area is the Museum district which is a great place to spend  a day checking out art, history, and science.  Just behind the medical center is the famous Hermann Park Conservancy which gives locals a great place to enjoy nature with such activities as enjoying their Japanese gardens, taking a romantic paddleboat ride, or just taking a relaxing walk.

The Medical center area is a bustling neighborhood with a strong emphasis on the life sciences and it is a great place to live, learn, and work in the Houston Area.
