The City of Irving
Irving Texas is a large city with a rich, diverse history. The city is bordered by Dallas, the Mid Cities, and Grand Prarie while its two major planned communities are located on the North side of the city. Las Colinas is a major planned community in north Irving which acts as a business center and houses several fortune 500 company offices along with upscale dining, shopping and living. Just north of Los Colinas is the beautiful, mostly residential area of Valley Ranch which is the current home of the Dallas Cowboys training center. The Valley Ranch area is packed full of beautiful homes and luxury apartment communities. The Southern portion of Irving is largely dedicated to local government and older neighborhoods which date back to the early parts of the 20th century.

Irving is a very convenient city to live in due to DFW airport south entrance being located just off highway 183 which passes through the city. You can quickly travel to most major parts of the metroplex quickly and easily via any of the major highways in the Irving area or just outside the city limits including the LBJ Freeway, Loop 12, 360, 183, 161, and highway 114. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) bus and rail lines run through the area making it even more convenient in the event a resident needs to take public transportation for any given reason.

Las Colinas offers a beautiful canal area which has been designed in a river walk style to allow visitors to eat and shop with a view. The Mustangs at Los Colinas are the world’s largest equestrian sculpture and have long been a landmark attraction of the greater Irving area.
