Houston is an energy driven, bustling and thriving metropolis located in South Texas. This city was formed in 1836 and named after Sam Houston, a major general in the Texas war for independence from Mexico and the first President of the then Republic of Texas before becoming a US State. Houston is just a short drive away from Galveston bay and the gulf of Mexico. This is a multicultural city which offers exotic and fine dining, shopping and entertainment. You can find more Fortune 500 headquarters in this great city than any other city in the United States with the exception of New York City. This makes Houston a great place to find an opportunity in almost any major industry.
